Boppard
The Federal Academy’s seminar centre in Boppard
After a reconstruction period of two years, the historic building was dedicated to its present use in 1987.
It has 71 rooms with 82 beds; for the seminars, there are 5 class rooms, 1 PC training room and a number of group working rooms.
All class rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
In the lobby, there is an „Internetcafé“ with three work places. From 7 a.m. until midnight you can surf the Internet free of charge.
The modern dining hall offers room for 78 persons; our kitchen caters for up to 200 persons.

Historic data of the building
| 1450 | The fortified house of the Knights of Schwalbach is built in the late gothic style at the north-eastern corner of the city wall; its core allegedly dates back to the 13th century. |

Prussia receives the Franciscan church in exchange for the Carmelite church. The monastery is bought back and demolished in 1864 in order to make room for a new catholic teachers’ college. |
