The Federal Academy of Public Administration is the central advanced training institution for the federal administration.

It was founded in 1969 and is an independent part of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community.

The Federal Academy’s headquarters are located in Brühl, in Germany’s Rhineland region.

Our task is to provide practical advanced training for federal administration staff.

To do so, we work closely with the public administration, the private sector and the research community. An advisory board provides expert guidance to assist us with our work.

We have adopted a mission statement as an orientation aid.

As administrative practitioners, academics and freelance trainers, our instructors provide the highest-quality advanced professional training possible.

In organizational terms, the Federal Academy is divided into five training divisions and is headed by a president.

Most of our training courses are offered at our three main and three branch locations.
